Our E-Z-TYֿ® Double OT Clamps can be used to make a loop just like our regular E-Z-TYֿ® Rope Clamps, but it can be used on a double rope or a single rope. It also gives you added strength when you need it. The more double OT clamps you use, the stronger your application. It can also be used to adjoin two ropes together!
For optimal strength, it is recommended to distance the E-Z-TYֿ® Double OT clamps at least 4 inches apart, not to exceed 8 inches apart. The working load limit is as follows: 3/8" clamp wll = 160 lbs
1/2" clamp wll = 400 lbs
5/8" clamp wll = 500 lbs
3/4" clamp wll = 1,100 lbs
Testing for working load limit was done in house and was performed on new double-braided nylon rope. The working load limits can vary dependent upon the age, shape, and type of rope you use.
